The Oyster 54 is a worthy successor  to the popular Oyster 53 with even better performance and modern styling. The 54 carries more sail on a longer waterline and is somewhat lighter thanks to the use of a cored hull above the waterline and advanced composite engineering, including the use of carbon fibre and Kevlar. Her clean hull lines, powerful rig and a lower centre of gravity bulb keel have created a fast, stiff, comfortable passage maker. She is well balanced and the general view is that this very exciting new design behaves like a very much larger yacht  in open sea conditions.
