With the Oyster 655, performance was an established criterion from the outset so Rob Humphreys has created a set of hull lines with relative fine entry forward and a clean run aft. With this he has carried the beam further aft to create a more powerful hull and more form stability than her older canoe-body type predecessors. Add to this the advantage of a lower centre of gravity keel, a modern high aspect rudder and a powerful sail plan and the result is a fast yacht that is a pleasure to sail.
